I like the tick charts in that it shows market structure patterns better than time charts. I'm just starting to look at VWAP. Didn't use it much until now.
Your using $TICK divergences with a tick chart and VWAP is interesting. I put 38, 50 and 78-period VWAC lines on the 620 chart. Between 1530 and 1540 ET yesterday, the market tested the 764.50 area twice. At that time, the 38-period VWAC line was above the 50-period line and the 50-period line was above the 78-period VWAC line. On the second test of 764.50, the $TICK was showing a bullish divergence and the market run up above 776.
